I hate cats

I came home from lunch this afternoon, and saw one of my roommates on the living room couch with her kitten. The kitten was licking my roommate's empty plate by her side.

me: That's disgusting.
her: What, I'm done with the plate!
me: Yeah, but that's still disgusting.
other roommate: What's disgusting?
me: An animal licking one of our plates.

Am I being unreasonable here!?
